Terms & Conditions
By booking and using Yu Shan Home Care's teleconsultation and home visit services, the patient, caregiver, or person making the booking agrees to the terms below.
- Services are not eligible for a refund once provided. A refund applies only if a booking is cancelled before Dr. Ethan has accepted/confirmed the request; once accepted, the fee is payable in full even if the patient later chooses not to proceed. If Dr. Ethan cancels a confirmed booking, the patient will not be charged and any payment already made will be refunded.
- Teleconsultation: payment (RM60) must be made in full once the booking is confirmed, and the slot must be confirmed at least 15 minutes before the scheduled session time. Home visit: a deposit of RM80 is required in advance to secure the booking slot, with the remaining balance payable at the time of the visit.
- The deposit for a home visit is non-refundable in the event of last-minute changes.
- No pro-rated refunds under any service package.
- Additional procedures or extended time beyond the agreed scope are separately chargeable.
- Patients/clients must not solicit or offer direct payment to any doctor or staff currently or previously engaged by Yu Shan Home Care outside of official booking channels.
- For home visits: if the patient wishes to cancel or reschedule, sufficient notice must be given before the scheduled appointment time. Late cancellations may be subject to a cancellation fee. If the doctor is already en route or has arrived at the location, the deposit and/or consultation fee may be forfeited.
- The patient or a responsible representative must be present and reachable at the confirmed time/location. If unreachable or the address is incorrect, the appointment may be cancelled and the fee forfeited.
- This service is not a substitute for emergency medical care.
- Proceeding with consultation/treatment implies consent for medical assessment and appropriate treatment.
- Medications, injections, and procedures are provided only when clinically indicated, at the doctor's discretion. Not all requested treatments will be suitable or available.
- Dr. Ethan reserves the right to refuse, stop, or leave a visit if the environment is unsafe, behavior is inappropriate, or the case is beyond safe scope for home management. Fees already incurred remain payable.
- A reasonable waiting period applies on arrival; excessive delay caused by the patient may result in additional charges or cancellation.
- Patient information is handled confidentially per applicable medical privacy requirements.
- Care is provided with reasonable skill and professional judgment; no guarantee is made on specific outcomes or recovery time. Not liable for delays due to traffic, weather, access issues, or events beyond reasonable control.
- Yu Shan Home Care reserves the right to decline non-urgent requests that are unsafe, outside coverage area, or outside the current scope of services.
- Terms may be updated from time to time; the latest version applies at time of booking.
- No medical certificates (MC) are issued through this service.
- Patients must disclose full and accurate medical information — including current medications, supplements, and known allergies — at the time of consultation or booking. Yu Shan Home Care and Dr. Ethan are not responsible for adverse reactions or complications arising from information that was not disclosed.
- Advice given is not a substitute for the patient's own regular physician; patients are encouraged to consult their usual doctor before making significant changes to ongoing treatment.
- The person making a booking must be 18 years or older. If booking on behalf of another person, the person making the booking confirms they have the authority and consent of that person (or their legal guardian) to do so.
- In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter amicably before pursuing formal legal action. These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.
